Polystyrene

Arsenal-Panel produces panels with damped polystyrene. Polystyrene is hard foamed thermoplastic, consists from melted granules with evenly distributed macroscopic consistent cells, filled with air. Polystyrene is 98% consists from still air, hold by cell structure which makes it a perfect natural insulation. Polystyrene preserves its insulation properties in high humidity environment as well as in low temperatures. Resistance against short-term and long term loading is most important property of polystyrene and it’s much higher than mineral wool.
In sandwich panels from “Arsenal-Panel” could be used :

  1. Polystyrene foam (EPS) with density 16-25 kg/m3
  2. Extrude polystyrene (XPS), density 35-45 rg/m3, created from raw material with fire proved element – antipyrin.
